There was a bit of a hiccup with our first release, specifically that 70 records went missing en route to us, but this is a positive story. We sometimes discussed whether or not they would ever turn up, and a few months ago, the process began.
Mark Baker and his dad Alan found a dusty box, full of records, underneath a desk in an office in Birmingham, which they were clearing. There wasn't much in the way of clues, especially as they initially appeared to be blanks after Mark opened the unstamped side. Mark noticed the pressing on the A side and retraced the catalogue number, evntually locating us on Bandcamp, where he found the links to our Facebook page.
He got in touch with us and that same day sent the missing 70 NP001 back to us free of charge....a unbelievably selfless gesture.
As we screen print all the records ourselves, I'd always said that if they turned up, I'd want them to be labelled as the missing 70, to distinguish them from the rest. We decided that it would also be a nice gesture to have a picture of Mark and Alan on the label, seeing as they had found them and got them back to us.
NP001 never really hit the shops in the UK as the majority went to Europe, so not many people got the chance to grab a copy. There are only 70 of these, so be quick, now is your chance.

Two track, single sided 12" vinyl. 13 Minutes of Yorkshire Honesty.
Record/Vinyl + Digital Album
Housed in a white paper sleeve, this is a fantastic example of beautifully handcrafted Yorkshire electronics, with a distinctively raw and rustic feel. The finishing touches have engaged the expertise of Dr Ma Spaventi in the Netherlands, to ensure a neat fit to the black vinyl. A wonderful touch is the manually screen printed label. This was meticulously designed in Kippax prior to being transferred and developed to photo emulsion on a 110 T screen, for printing in the ancient and historic city of York.

The whole album is amazing. Empires is, overall, my favorite ... (1) Because it's extra quirky (2) It's the longest track on the album ... and I like long tracks.
Whole album is great, though. 5/5 stars. 10/10.... all we need is more of Shima!
And, I think, a trio collaboration between John Shima, Derek Carr and, of course, Mr Rutter himself would be extra special :) simplybeourselves
Part of the wonderful resurrection of the Nu Era moniker by Marc Mac (please, reissue Beyond Gravity!), The Third Adam is a quirky loving electro jazz with many nods to detroit but mostly being true to himself. Carlos Jurschik
