  According to We’re Going Deep founder, Placid, Northern Powerhouse make house and techno “for when the over compressed sound of today’s music gets too much.” Previous releases have gained support from esteemed music aficionados such as Laurent Garnier, Colin Dale, DJ Deep, Radio Slave, Severino Panzetta, Bill Torres, and Snuff Crew, among others, though at the time of writing, a form of procrastination has prevented anyone being sent this particular release.
  
  On with the potential algorithms though; Craig Stainton (Myriadd, Mantra, Acid Phreex) joined Alex Handley (Pom E Granite, Primordial Soup, Shadow Company, Turbulent Force) and Nigel Rogers (Perseus Traxx, Sir Leon Greg, Ellis De Havilland, John Titor, Operator Tracey, Orpheus, Pagan Ritual, Robokid, Scandalous Arthur, Sir Leon Greg) in the basement in Yorkshire during a couple of return visits from sunny Barcelona.
  
  The music is a rich, and warm psychedelic fog pierced by rattling drum machines and esoteric tones, some taking the Nite Vision edge with a nod to older Chicago sounds along the lines of Virgo 4 and Mr Fingers, while the second track of this single sided 12" is experimentation with strange, very expensive vintage gear, run through cheap car boot sale effects. There are clips - I'd urge you to listen for yourself....
  
  As ever, Dr MarcoAntonio Spaventi has taken the raw audio and made it suitable for vinyl pressing, using his extensive mastering skills, and the pressing engineer Phil East has been screen printed onto the label as thanks for all his hard work.
